Role Title: Southside Communities Group Host
Role Overview: The hosts are integral to the life and vibrancy of our church community. As a Host, you will open your home to facilitate a welcoming and hospitable environment for our community groups, providing a space for meaningful fellowship, spiritual growth, and connection.
Your role is essential in helping members feel at home and fostering a sense of belonging within our church. Additionally, you will create a safe and enjoyable space for children during group sessions.
Practicing the ways of Jesus in smaller communities that are on mission together. Culture is built by rhythms and practices, and these are critical components of Southside Communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a Welcoming Environment:
- Open your home to host weekly community group meetings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Ensure that the space is clean, comfortable, and well-prepared for group gatherings.
- Hospitality and Fellowship:
- Greet and welcome group members as they arrive, making them feel valued and appreciated.
- Foster an environment where members can build relationships and engage in meaningful fellowship.
- Encourage a spirit of hospitality and generosity within the group.
- Create an atmosphere where members feel safe to share, discuss, and pray together.
- Promote inclusivity and respect within the group, ensuring all voices are heard.
- Safe Place for Children
- Designate a safe and enjoyable area for children to play during group sessions.
- Provide age-appropriate toys, games, and activities to keep children engaged and entertained.
- Ensure child safety by implementing childproofing measures as needed.
